Privacy Policy for 1-Minute Tab Refresher Chrome Extension

1. Data Handling Practices

The 1-Minute Tab Refresher extension is designed to function entirely on the user's local device. As such, we adhere to the following strict policies regarding user data:

1.1. Data We Do NOT Collect or Transmit

The extension does not collect, track, transmit, or store any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or sensitive user data, including but not limited to:

• Names, email addresses, or account credentials.
• IP addresses, location data, or unique user IDs.
• Browsing history outside of the active tab being refreshed.

1.2. Local Data Storage (Operational Data)

The extension uses the Chrome Storage API (`chrome.storage.local`) solely for its required functionality. This data is stored only on the user's local device and is never transmitted off the device. This local data includes:

• Refresh Log: A record of the last 10 successful refresh actions. Each log entry includes:
  • The **Timestamp** of the refresh.
  • The **Page Title** of the tab that was refreshed.
  • The **Hostname/Domain** (e.g., example.com) of the tab that was refreshed.
• Alarm State: A flag indicating whether the 1-minute refresh timer is currently active ('ON') or inactive ('OFF').

2. Data Usage and Sharing

2.1. Use of Data

The locally stored data (the refresh log) is used exclusively for the user's benefit—to provide a history of when and where the extension performed a refresh, as displayed in the extension's popup interface.

2.2. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer any user data to third parties.

3. User Control Over Data

Since the extension only stores data locally, the user is in complete control:

• Viewing Data: The refresh log can be viewed directly by clicking the extension's icon (the popup).
• Deleting Data: The locally stored data can be deleted entirely by uninstalling the extension from Chrome's extension management page (`chrome://extensions`).

4. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this policy as necessary. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Effective Date" above. We encourage users to review this policy periodically.
